How to Make an Appointment
We always recommend consulting with your primary eyecare provider prior to calling to schedule an appointment. Retina specialists treat conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment. If you are in need of a retinal specialist, please contact our office at 724-248-2020.
Preparing for Your Visit
We know your time is important so here are a few things to expect during your appointment.
Allow for up to 2 hours for your appointment.
Each visit requires dilation which takes time for the drops to work. We ask to allow ample time for dilating, testing and any necessary treatment needed.
Please have a driver and sunglasses for each visit.
Dilating drops can blur your vision and make your eyes sensitive to light. We suggest having a driver and sunglasses with you for your appointment(s) to ensure safety when leaving our office. The dilating drops can last up to several hours after your visit. We do not perform procedures without a driver.
If you are a diabetic, please have food or a snack with you.
Because you may be in the office for up to 2 hours, we suggest having the necessary items to maintain your sugar levels.
